I love this place for both sentimental reasons and the actual dining experience. I have been coming here for years and finally got to bring my boyfriend for his birthday. They were doing a prime rib and shrimp special. The waitress was so nice and let us know she has been there for many years (did she say 10 or 20 years??) and we sat in the captain's room. I love the ambiance of this place. Its sea shack meets old-school high end restaurant. My prime rib was perfectly cooked, the shrimp was swimming in piping hot butter (amazing), and the asparagus was just like I like it- not soggy and very flavorful. I don't think we got any bread that should have come but it was too good to even worry about. The bottle of red wine was an excellent pairing with our midday steak. The first pic I have here is me and my best friend (RIP) when I took him on his first time here in 2019. I cherish this picture, thanks for saving it Yelp! I never have been here for happy hour but it is on my to-do list!

Delicious food and attentive, but not overbearing, service in a well lit and warm nautical setting. It feels like you just got off your boat and you're having a meal at the yacht club.

I usually write my review the day I visit the place, I waited a day. Was it the greatest prime rib and lobster? No. Was it the greatest food I've ever had? No. Is it good? Yes. The staff was great. They served the 10 of us quickly. Yan had just a small lobster, mashed potatoes and two spears of asparagus besides a dinner salad. Was it great? No. Don't get me wrong. It's a good place. It's been in business for years. I'll say this, I wouldn't want to be there should a fire break out. It's a maze of rooms. The bar is centrally located, I guess that helps. Would I go there again. Yeah I guess. Would I make it a must go destination, maybe not.

This place is absolutely delicious! The ambiance is unique in the particular area where we sat it is designed like a boat. Decor was unique! My date said he read on the menu that this place has been around since the 1970's! The service was impeccable! Kathy was our waitress and she was so quick. Constantly refilling our drinks anytime they were half full. She made recommendations but also explained which items were made fresh in house. The calamari was freshly breaded in house so that was the appetizer we choose. It was rubbery. Tasted good but I couldn't get pass the texture. It was a 3/10. I would skip it next time and try something else. The lobster potstickers are also made in house so that is what we will try next time. I had a cup of clam chowder with my meal. It was delicious! Little bacon pieces on top! Very tasty! 9/10 For my main dish I got the hand cut New York steak with mushrooms on top, asparagus and a baked potato. This was the best steak I have had in a long time! Baked potato was soft and creamy! Asparagus was excellent too! 10/10 My date got the prime rib and lobster dinner. He also got a baked potato and asparagus. His prime rib was beautiful and tasted scrumptious! The lobster was delicious dipped in the butter it was served with. 10/10 We both got sourdough bread too. I don't know if it's made in house but boy oh boy it was so soft and warm! I could have ate a whole loaf! 10/10 For dessert we shared the chocolate cake topped with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce and pretzels. The sweet and salty combination was delicious! 10/10 Check out my photos of the food! Overall I highly recommend you try this local small business out for yourself! I guarantee you won't be disappointed! We will definitely be going back ourselves!

What a wonderful find! Easy to locate, lots of parking wonderful food and service. Doesn't look like a lot on the outside, but very nice inside. I had Fish n Chips with a salad. The salad came with shrimp on it. Awesome moist fish and great salad. Definitely going to go back, even with the 60 miles to get there.

My husband and I just went to Rudy's Hideaway for our 16th anniversary. We were there for lunch and had lobster roll sandwiches with fries and coleslaw. The sandwiches were delicious, loaded with big chunks of lobster. The sides were tasty, too. Since it was our anniversary, we were given a complimentary chocolate mousse desert which as also fabulous. The service was really good, too. Our waitress had over 23 years experience. She kept our glasses filled and made sure everything was perfect. I highly recommend Rudy's. We will be back!

Sergio was our server and he was great!!! Super friendly and helpful/great customer service. We came here for a birthday dinner and ordered the escargot, the prime rib and lobster, espresso martini, and calamari and it was all delish! For dessert we got the salted caramel chocolate dessert and the cheesecake and they were excellent! This is a hidden gem in the rancho Cordova area!
